Pikey Peak Trek Route

Our trek starts with the early morning ride to Dhap, which may take 6-7 hours of the ride. The drive passes through subtropical forests of pine and dense rhododendrons, several villages, beautiful landscapes, and valleys until reaching Dhap Bazaar. Next morning. You will start your trek to Jhapre via Sigane. The trail follows under construction road for a couple of hours with nice views of a deep valley and a glimpse of Mt. Everest. On this day, you will get up early in the morning with the majestic view of Everest, Numbur Chuli, and other eastern Himalayas. After some gentle ups and downs along the ridge, you will reach the Pikey Peak Base Camp.

After early breakfast, you will start the uphill switchbacks until you will reach Pikey Peak Trek. If the weather is clear, then sunrise over Mt. Everest, Thamserku, Khangtega, Khatang, Karyoling to the north, Kanchenjunga to the east, and Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa, and Langtang to the west. The trail then enters a long descent to the valley through fir and rhododendron forests until reaching Taktor. Ahead you will pass through several Mani walls and stone chortens until you reach Junbesi. The trail ahead then crosses the river, dense forest, and finally reaches Ringmo. Today is the last day of your trek as you reach Phaplu via Chiwong Monastery. Today the trek ends as you drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu.

Spring Season in Pikey Peak Trek

The spring season falls from the month of March to May and is the best season to trek Pikey Peak. The beauty will enhance during the spring by blooming rhododendrons during April. In the Spring season, the dense forest will come alive with varied colorful wildflowers and shades of scarlet. The entire green hills will be decorated with varied species of rhododendrons and other species of wildflowers.

The autumn season falls from September to November, which is the best season for Pikey Peak Trek. The dark, mossy woods under the brilliantly clear sky and glittering white peaks amaze you.

Winter Season in Pikey Peak Trek

The winter season falls from December to February, and this is the least favorite season for the trek. You will experience the cold weather and difficulty in trekking. As the pikey peak trek is at a lower altitude, you can trek with proper equipment and clothes.
