If you suffer any of these while you are at a high altitude, immediately inform your guide or someone near you. This can be risky if not treated properly.
Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking trial starts with the long scenic drive to Darbang, enjoying the stunning Annapurna. The roads are bumpy, passing through the Beni with Kali Gandaki and Myagdi River Side by Side. Our Trek starts from the Myagdi Khola, passing the Suspension Bridge with Dharapani on its way. We reach Muri village, a beautiful Magar cloyingly laying at the lap of the Dhaulagiri range. The next day we head towards the Sallaghari, descending the Myagdi Khola. Walking through the lush forest and crossing over the wooden bridge, arrive at the Choriban. On the very next day, we trek up to the Italian Base Camp(3660m), passing through the stunning forest with tempting mountains up above. We have daybreak at the Italian base camp spending by exploring the area. Despite having a cold and dry trek up to the Dhaulagiri Base Camp, we get to capture the spectacular views of the Dhaulagiri Mountain ascending to the French pass. The French pass serves astounding views of Tukuche Peak, Tashi Kang, Mukut Himal, and Dhaulagiri. We use different instruments on our trek today while making our way to the hidden valley stopping by the Thapa pass the next day. Climbing up to the Thapa peak is quite challenging. After spending some time at the mountain, we retrace our steps back to the base camp and head towards the Yak Kharka. Thus, we will be heading to the capital passing through the Marpha, followed by Jomsom. From Jomsom, we will have a short scenic flight to the beautiful Pokhara and, finally, drive back to Kathmandu afterward.
There are two best seasons to trek Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek in the year. During the Spring, the trek can be done from March to May. While in autumn, it can be done from September to November. These are the best season to do Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek.
Each of these trekking seasons has something very different to offer during the trek. It includes different terrain, difficulty, weather, and scenery. In a nutshell, let us tell you about subtle differences you will get in these different seasons of the year. This will suddenly help you to plan your trek better.
Spring Season in Nepal falls from March to May and is very stable and dry with a moderate climate. This month, you will experience fairly perfect trekking, which offers a crystal clear view of mountains and sceneries every day. You will see much crowd in the trial as this season is best to climb Mt. Dhaulagiri.
The temperature will reach around 15 to 20 degrees Celsius in the daytime and drop to -4 to -6 degrees celsius at night. You will also be welcomed with thousands of flora and vegetation that make the Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek more beautiful and enjoyable. This month is also the best to view the decorative rhododendron and may spot beautiful birds.
Summer in Nepal falls in the month from June to August. During these months, you will also experience the Monsoon run, which makes the treks nearly impossible. These months usually do not attract tourists to the Himalayas. The rains in the hilly area wash the bridges, slippery trails, leeches, and landslides.
Autumn is another best season of Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek. Autumn falls in the month from September to November. The weather will be perfect, and the view of the surroundings will be unforgettable. During the initial month of September, you may experience the leftover Monsoon. As of October starts, your door to this trek will be clear.
During those months, the temperature will reach around 14 to 20 degrees in the daytime and decrease from -2 to -5 degrees celsius during the night.
Winter in Nepal falls from December to February. Trekking to higher altitudes will be challenging and impossible to cross the three passes during the trek. The temporary Teahouse lodge will also remain close during the winter. So, Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is impossible to trek in the winter season.
