Gosaikunda Helambu Trek Itinerary begins with the drive to Syabrubesi, also the trek starting point. This is a small Tamang village located on the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. We reach Kyanjin Gompa and then climb Tsergo Ri the next day. From there, we get tremendous views of the Langtang Lirung (7,200m/23,622ft) range. Next, we continue trekking in the beautiful Langtang Valley and reach Gosaikunda, a revered pilgrimage place for Buddhists and Hindus. Moreover, the place is named after the glistening Gosaikunda Lake, whose water is believed to have magical healing powers. We pass by a few more lakes on our trek and cross the Laurebina Pass. Our trek in the Helambu Valley begins after crossing the pass. Another highlight of our hike is to reach the top of Ama Yangri at 3,800m. The view of the Himalayas from the top of the hill is believed to rival that of Poon Hill. From here, Mt. Shishapangma and the Langtang ranges seem so close that we feel that we can almost touch them. We continue trekking in the Helambu region for a few more days and end our remarkable journey to the mountains with a drive to Kathmandu
Langtang Helambu Trek is considered a moderate trek of the Langtang region because this trek is situated near Kathmandu valley. You have to trek for an average of 5 to 6 hours trek a day. This trek has some steep ridges like Lauribina Pass, so that you will need basic healthy physical preparation.
You can prepare for the trek by doing light cardio exercises like cycling, swimming, and jogging. Previous high altitude trekking will not be necessary to trek Goasikunda Helambu. This trek will take you to an altitude above 4610 meters at Gosaikunda Pass (Lauribina Pass) and reward you with wonderful scenery.
Trekking Information Management System (TIMS)
TIMS card is compulsory for all the tourist except Nepalese during the trek in Nepal. It will cost USD 20 per person per visit.
This trek crosses the Langtang National Park, and everyone must pay an entry fee during the trek. So you will need to pay USD 30 per person per entry to trek Langtang Gosaikunda.

Autumn Season in Gosaikunda Helambu (September-November)

Weather is generally clear with mild during the days and cold at night. This trekking season is safe as there will be less chance of natural disaster. You will also get an opportunity to experience the biggest Hindu festivals called Dashain and Tihar.
Wither Season in Gosaikunda Helambu (December-February)
During the winter in Gosaikunda Helambu, the region will freeze over, and the snowfalls. Trekking will be more challenging in every step as you reach higher. The trial will be covered with snow when you reach over 3500 above. The temperature will reach up to -10 degrees Celsius. Spring Season in Gosaikunda Helambu (March-May)
Spring season in Gosaikunda Helambu is another best time to trek. You will be welcomed with the blooming flower, lush greenery, and the dazzling White Mountains, which make your trek memorable. Weather is this season will be mild at lower elevation but slightly cold at the highest elevation. Generally, you will witness the best view of mountains in the morning, but there may be clouds in the afternoon
Summer Season in Gosaikunda Helambu (June-August)
During the summer in Gosaikunda Helambu, you will experience the cloudy morning with rain in the afternoons and evenings. Trekking will be uncomfortable as there will be a slippery and muddy trail. There will be a high risk of landslides and floods in hilly reason because of the rainy season. If you are willing to trek, then do not forget to carry the insect repellants. The temperature will reach from 20 to 35 degrees Celsius depending upon the region. This is not a good time to trek, but if you are fond of botanists and wanted to do research in forests and higher altitude, this will be the best time for you. However, places like Manang and Mustang lie under rain shadow, and this may be the best opportunity to explore these reasons.

After breakfast, we will be transferred to Bus station to start a long yet scenic journey towards Dhunche. We will drive along the bank of river and admire the stunning view of Langtang Himalayas.

After breakfast at 8:00 AM, we will walk on a trail that leads us to Barkhu village and from Barkhu village, we take a right trail that goes uphill through bamboo and oak forest with outstanding views of Ganesh Himal and Trishuli River. The majority of trek today goes through dense forest where we get to admire different bird species. A final downhill walk will take us to Shyabru village. The Shyabru village is perched in a ridge and is inhabited by 60 households of Tamang tribe.

Today we follow the steep trail and pass Dursagang (2,660m) which offers superb view of LangtangHimal, Ganesh Himal and Tibetan mountains. The trail then gently climbs for some distance before a board trail to Sing Gompa. Here we can explore well-managed local cheese factory and a Buddhist monastery.

Initially we start with a gentle climb up to Lauribinayak. Then the trail make steep ascend all the way to Gosainkunda. You will walk through rugged trail with outsanding views of HimalChuli (7,893m), Manaslu Range (8,156m), Ganesh Himal Range (7,406m) and LangtangLirung. You will walk across few houses in a high pasture and cross a small ridge; from where you will get first views of the holy lakes. There are more than a dozen lakes in the Gosainkunda Basin – the main three lakes being Sarawastikunda, Gosainkunda and Gosainkunda.

Today the trail leaves Gonsainkunda and climb through rugged landscapes towards Lauribanayak Pass. Then we drop down to the Melamchi valley crossing moraines. The pass is well marked with the cairns. We walk through three small lakes before reaching the pass. We pass through Surya Kunda before reaching Ghopte.

Today we climb down from the ridge at Ghopte and make numbers of ups and downs across ravines and the boulders of quaint moraines. The trail then gently drops down through the dense forest of rhododendron, oak and juniper to Tharepati.

Today the trail follows easy route with a great opportunity to enjoy natural and cultural diversities. On our way, we also admire spectacular mountain views and interact with local Tamang people to know about their lifestyle and culture.
Overnight in Kutumsang

After breakfast, we walk down to PathiBhangjyang through dense forest. Negotiating several ups and downs, we finally climb to Chisopani, where we get the astounding view of central Himalayas.

Chisapani – Sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu Today we start the trek rising the last pass of the trek at BorlangBhanjyang at 2,240m. From here, we climb down steeply through deeply eroded chasms towards the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka (1,800m). Further, descend through pine and rhododendron forest drops us down to Sundarijal. From here, we can take the local bus back to Kathmandu or
