1. Sagarmatha National park(SNP) entrance permits
It is essential permits for the Everest basecamp trek. This permit will issue by the Nepal tourism board and the Sagarmatha national park, Nepal.

2. Local area pemit( Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality)
This permit is for keeping Khumbu clean, saving nature, and developing the rural areas which are issued by Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality.

Where do I get Sagarmatha national park(SNP) and local area permits?
You will get SNP permits at the Nepal tourism board office in Kathmandu and also at Sagarmatha national park check post,Jorsalle. And you will get a local area permit at the help desk of Khumbu Pasanglhamu Municipality at Lukla and Toktok.
Do I need to take a special permit and TIMS card?
Both permits are not required for Everest basecamp trekking. Special permits are only required for entering the restricted area.
