This trek requires physical fitness, good health condition trekkers but no need for previous trekking experiences in life. The walking distance is 5to 6 hours a day through a beautiful community village. Mohare Danda Trek is completely lodge trekking but make sure to not expect luxurious accommodations.

Mohare Danda is a short and easy trekking destination compare to other treks in Annapurna Region. Mohare Danda altitudes increase gradually to 3300 m height from 1300 m height within 4 to 5 days. You do not have to worry about the altitude problem too. Some people may have the uneasy with a dull headache, but it is nothing compared to what you can feel on a higher elevation.

Mohare Danda Trek Weather

Weather plays an important role while traveling to high altitudes because there is no one behind nature. People can trek throughout the year in Mohare Danda, but certainly, there are ups and downs in all seasons. The different season has their own beauty and below is total information about the climatic situation of every quarter of months.

Mohare Danda Trek during Spring Season

Spring season in Mohare Danda is the best time for trekking and lies in the month from March till May. The weather is very good while you are on the trek. Mesmerizing views of the snow-capped mountain make your trek memorable. You will also witness many colorful rhododendrons, which makes the forest amazing.

This season is the hottest and frequent rainfalls where the vegetation will come to new life in the forest. You will see many wildflowers in the forest and pastures. This season is also best for those who are interested in botany, but you may not see the views of mountains. This time is somehow risky in hilly areas as you may experience slippery trials, leeches, and landslides. Mostly in the morning, you may see a clear view, but the sky will be foggy during the day and night.

Mohare Danda Trek during Autumn Season

The Autumn season in Mohare Danda is another best season to trek and lies in the month from September to November. This season is the peak for trekkers due to good weather conditions. As monsoon season ends, it will clear the dust and got a chance to get fresh air during the trek. This season is best for the traveler to relax naturally and culturally. You will also be able to experience the biggest Hindu festivals called Dashain and Tihar. The weather will be clear, and you do not feel hot and cold during the trek.

The Winter season in Mohare Danda is another offseason and lies in the month from December to February. You will experience extremely cold weather with frequent snowfall during the trek. During winter, there may be difficulty crossing the pass as the trial will be covered with snow. Only if you are an adventure seeker, then we will recommend you to trek Mohare Danda. While the sun comes, the day will be somehow warmer with the stunning view of the Himalayas.

Safe and sanitary treks of your dreams

Buddhi Rai led my wife and I (and 9 other U.S trekkers aged 40s to 80) on a trek on the Tibetan Plateau (Mustang) and a elephant-and-rhino safari by foot and canoe in Chitwan National Park in October 2025. We took two other treks led by Buddhi to Tsum Valley (2022) and rhododendron trails near Annapurna (2024). On all three treks, his team put safety first and met each trekker's daily needs, including healthy meals/water and helping hands (and/or rides) when needed. We were introduced to Buddhi by his friend/mentor Sydney Frymire from the Washington DC area and New York. Sydney described her Nepal trek experiences in her (Amazon) book, "How a Cup of Masala Tea Changed My Life." Buddhi and many of his guides and staff come from near Basa, his home village.

Buddhi, Thank you so much for such a beautiful trip. It was lovely meeting you and sharing this experience with you and the team. Thank you for your guidance and coordination with everything. Until next time! Buddhi, I feel very grateful to have received you as a gift from Sydney. There is no need to forget. We will all need our time to grief and feel her memory. Once we are ready, we all will find a way to open the new chapter that she would have love that we all write together! See you soon! From USA.

“Buddhi has been our lead guide and organizer on three Nepal treks since 2017. He has impressed us as an outstanding leader with deep experience and an extremely professional and trustworthy organizer. On our trips, he handled the sometimes-complex challenges and unavoidable surprise situations brilliantly, always finding safe and sensible solutions. I would never choose a different guide for my next trek in Nepal. Ingrid & Hans Schulz” From USA.

Namaste to you Buddhi.
You were and will always be a source of inspiration to me!
Your way of walking “the path” … one step at a time was more than just “guide-man-ship”.
It has been a mantra for reinforcing my life every day.
I hope I return to Nepal as well. ❤️
My memories of the beautiful country and people are etched in my heart forever!
Next time a gentler trek! ;)…
I’m glad to hear your family doing well. Don’t forget to send those pictures from time to time! :)
