Trip Overview
The Everest Expedition is High Vision’s flagship 8,000-metre climb: a full-service ascent of Sagarmatha (8,849m) by the South Col route. After permit briefings in Kathmandu you fly to Lukla and trek the Khumbu through Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche to Everest Base Camp.
The climbing period is built around rotations through the Khumbu Icefall, Camp 2 on the Western Cwm, the Lhotse Face, and the South Col, with a summit window in spring when the jet stream eases. Oxygen, Sherpa support, and base-camp infrastructure are included in the expedition plan.
This is a very strenuous, weather-dependent climb. Previous high-altitude experience, excellent fitness, and insurance that covers 8,000-metre mountaineering and helicopter evacuation are required. The team returns via Namche and Lukla to Kathmandu.

Buddhi Rai led my wife and I (and 9 other U.S trekkers aged 40s to 80) on a trek on the Tibetan Plateau (Mustang) and a elephant-and-rhino safari by foot and canoe in Chitwan National Park in October 2025.
