What is frostbite?
when we travel Especially to the High Himalayan region, some time that time we have to face this types of problem due to cold. To avoit this, we have to take spcial care ourselves. to avoit this, we have to prepare our things carefully before the trip. Such as good shoes,warm socks,gloves, at lest +50 sun cream,good sun glass,etc. if we do not prepare well before the journey, sometimes we can create big problem during the trip.Frostbite is damage to skin and tissue caused by cold (typically below -26 degrees Celcius.) Frostbite mainly affects the nose, fingers, toes, and ear.
Signs and symptoms of frostbite
- Feels cold
- Burning sensation
- Tingling sensation
- Less of sensation
- Pain
- Blister
Treatments
- Take to a warm place.
- Remove wet clothes.
- Immerse in warm water minimum of 15 minutes.
- Dry cover
Dont’s
- Do not break a blister
- Do not wear wet clothes
- Do not apply
Prevention
- Frisk gently
- Eat plenty
